UPTU TO GET MITs STATE OF ART INNOVATION LAB

The university Uttar Pradesh Technical University has taken another step in increasing employment rate of the students studying in the university. The university is now to get MITs ( Massachusetts - State- Of- Art- Innovation - Lab) installed in its campus. The Lucknow campus of Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) will soon set up a state-of-the-art innovation laboratory by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to help engineering graduates become more employable. The objective of the 'Urban Innovation Living Lab-Media Lab’ would be to motivate students towards an out-of-the-box approach-instead of booking concepts- while solving problems.This will also help the students to crack the recruitment process of many companies.

The lab would be a one stop destination for inter-disciplinary research facilitating convergence of technology, multimedia, sciences, art and design.The students of all branches will work under this lab. It will create a great environment of learning and new technologies will start coming out when the students of all branches sit and aspire for new projects at the central place. The labs will be setup in the coming two years but the students till then can avail the facilities using INCUBATORS whis is going to be installed soon in the university campus.

The MIT will also provide design guidelines for UPTU so that the new centre is equipped with the facilities for collaboration, fabrication and prototyping workshops (Fab Lab), and a technological showcase area.
