HBTI KANPUR IS CONVERTED TO A UNIVERSITY ( HBTU )

Uttar Pradesh Technical University UPTU top government college HBTI HARCOURT BUTLER TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE  is converted to a university in 2016 session. Aiming to give boost to technical education in the state, the SP government is considering to upgrade Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), Kanpur, into a full-fledged university by the end of current academic session.  The HBTI will most probably be considered as a university and its entrance examinations will be conducted separately from 2017 session. The idea has recently introduced in the 12th Convocation Ceremony being held at IET campus.

This year HBTU (Harcourt Butler Technological University) Counseling is Under AKTU Lucknow

The idea of upgrading the college to university has been mooted by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The sources said that that the government institutes - UP Textile Technological Institute and Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped will be merged to Harcourt Butler Technological Institute and form Harcourt Butler Technological University.
