Uttar Pradesh Technical University Even Semester Result 2014-15 is delayed and pass the UP government result declaration deadline date that is 30th June 2015. Till today UPTU declared result of only half of the course, there are more than 600 paper, including 25 branches of engineering, pharmacy, management and other professional courses in UPTU.
In UPTU even semester examination 2014-15, total 3.2 lakh students appeared and exam was completed in May 2015. Till today 1.5 lakh students result are awaited. On other hand even semester carry over result is also pending, there are total 49,000 who failed in one or more papers in either of the semesters and give COP examination.
Till mid-July, UPTU has only been able to declare final-year results, many of which were incomplete. As a consequence, final-year results have been updated 12 times in the past one week. Apathy of officials, said students, is the biggest reason for delay in results. "It seems that the officials do not even take the government seriously. Despite the government's warning, officials have not declared the results till now," said a B Tech first-year student.
The delay in results is giving a tough time to the students who are unable to concentrate on their classes. Many say they are continuing classes without even knowing that whether they have passed or failed a particular semester. Some anxious students have logged onto social media where they routinely post messages on the delayed results.
University officials meanwhile assured that results will be out soon and that students will not suffer. UPTU controller of examination BN Mishra was, however, unavailable for comments.
Students believe laxity and carefree attitude of teachers is responsible for the delay. Examination department blames teachers for not submitting answer sheets on time, while teachers pass the buck to the administration for improper planning. Space constraints, said examination officials, too accounts for delay in results.
